BULLY VIRTUE

How far we have come in the last fifty years or so.  I remember some seventy years ago that it was so important to be able to help your neighbor when he needed help.  I remember how important it was to treasure honesty, respect, hard work, your parents, your family as a whole.  I remember being taught in grade (elementary) school to respect your teachers, your country and your country’s flag, I remember being taught that it was wrong to steal, to damage someone else’s property.  I Think history is important not only to see what we need to improve on but also to see what things we blessed future with.

For the majority of our society’s members those things are still a predominate part of how we live our lives, how we make our choices.  Our silence as the majority, allowed the belief that those attributes no longer exist in our society.  According to some of those folks in the media has diminished those attributes.to an almost negligible percentage, According to our news and polls taken those values are no longer respected.

Rather than being ruled by the rule of law, we are we are watching a decline to a rule by mob, perceived moral justice, and a muzzle on thought.  We are no longer allowed to think outside the box of “political correctness” and “virtue signaling”.

Those screaming in the streets decry the acts of physical and psychological bully’s, in schools and social media, they condone showing off their superior virtue by bullying everyone they disagree with.   We now see many politicians openly prostrating themselves before the loudest, most violent, disruptors.  The art of protest has been infiltrated by those who profit on the discord they can create within our society.

The adage “United we stand, divided we fall” shouts out the truth that the obverse is just as loud.

HOW MANY TEARS

HOW MANY TEARS MUST BE SHED TO GIVE VOICE TO COMMON SENSE?

July 4, 2020 a date commemorating the 234th anniversary of our country’s birth.  The weekend of this date gives us so much to be proud of: anarchy in the streets of our major population centers; targets on the backs of our law enforcement; children being killed by the violence allowed by bureaucrats in control of cities; a news media being used as a propaganda weapon; our educational system that we have allowed to accentuate the less than proud moments of our country’s existence.

How many tears of mothers and fathers who must bury their loved ones because the actions of fear filled politicians who hear only the voices of those who condemn our country?

How many of our people did not weep over the deaths caused by this weekend’s crime violence, simply because it was not mentioned by their favorite source of information and news.

Why are we allowing the squeaky wheel to run rampant over the rule of law, the protection of our citizens, the theft of our future, and the children’s minds that will inherit from us, a broken society?  If it is to be rule by noise, for God’s sake people wake up and demand our cities return to the rule of law, and respect for those on the front lines who face the anarchists head on.

BLACK LIVES MATTER, BLUE LINES MATTER, NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS’ MATTER, OUR CHILDREN MATTER, OUR SCHOOLS MATTER, OUR COUNTRY MATTERS, OUR SOCIETY MATTERS

God bless the usa
Pray, pray, pray incessantly and for all things.

FORCE-FED FEAR

Fear is a natural response to danger whether it’s based on fact or fiction.  The inherent responses to fear are flight, freeze, and fight.  Regardless of what instigates it, there is always an action taken for self-preservation.  That is a fact of nature that crosses all boundaries of life on our planet. With our species (homo sapiens) we are different from other forms of a supposed universal ability for reasoning.  That ability is available to us in understanding the validity of threat which would seemingly give us another possible response, which would be to ignore the false.

We all translate our environment through the veil of our individual belief systems and because of this our responses can be manipulated by feeding our beliefs with false information.  This is the power of creating false perception through propaganda.  Fear is one of the most basic motivators and is also the most easily manipulated by rumor and outright falsehood.  There is a reason that the tablets presented to Moses on that mountain included the commandment  “Thou shalt not bear false witness”.

There used to a be parlor  game in which a line of people whispered a statement from one to the other and by the time it had migrated through the line of folks the statement had been substantially changed.  We have just been through a political campaign in which this phenomenon has been put to use in order to instill a degree of fear regarding an opponent's position on an array of subjects.
Through the twisting of intent and verbal redefinition, misconceptions become part of a belief system affecting the electorate.  Similar to the effects of terrorism, fear is created by this manipulation of perception.  We can see the effects of this fear being magnified by a mob mentality that makes beliefs conform just because of the sheer numbers of repetition.  Reason does not occur and the examination for validity is no longer a factor as perception becomes a false reality.

Most of us, older folks, remember the old western movies where the sheriff has to protect a prisoner from a lynch mob.  The lynch mob whipped into a fury by the evil villain always results in violence.  Sound familiar?  We have watched this same type of manufactured hysteria take place over the last few years and the violence created has caused millions of dollars in property damage and loss of lives.

Those losses can fall at the feet of politicians and the media.  The perpetrators of manipulation seem to have no shame nor do they take any responsibility for what is a real crime against our people.  If a parent did this type of thing to their children, we would be clamoring for punitive justice, not so in this case.  Their payoffs come in many shapes and sizes but all include a coziness with greed and lust for money and power.  Our people share in the guilt of loss to our society as we, as an ignorant mob, have allowed this to happen.

We have failed to use our power of reason to inspect  the validity of what we are being force fed.

The United States of America originated on our planet as a result of knowing that we all deserve the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  This is true for the individual and for all of us collectively.  There are some that would deny us those rights through the power of angst.  Like it or not we are being manipulated and a large number of us, like cattle being herded toward the slaughter, are allowing fear to propel us.

Our country has enemies, that is not news.  That we are being directed, by people like George Soros, toward a type of government enslavement is not being recognized as newsworthy.  Common sense is being eroded by our own basic national desire to do good.  To be the gentler, kinder members of the world's community.  We are being led to believe that being responsible for our survival comes in second to making sure everyone has all the same things, no winners, no losers.

We have been led to believe that those of us who want to ensure our existence are somehow the evil force in our nation and those who want to give are the good.  To make that more emphatic, our societal mob has come up with a list of criteria that must be met in order to be acceptable. “Governance by clique” and compliance to the new ideal is required and anyone who doesn’t conform is perceived as some sort of a “neanderthalic” moron.
Common sense would dictate that survival of our democratic, capitalistic system is a priority if we as a nation are going to continue in our abilities to be charitable to people across the expanse of our planet, to create innovations that help our environment, to find solutions to so many different maladies that affect mankind.

To all those mob driven groups out there who are raising havoc, harming your own neighborhoods, creating danger for your fellow man, quit acting irresponsibly.  Take the time to examine your anger, your frustration, and your fears.  Are they valid or are you just a tool for someone else’s greed and lust?  George Soros has one goal and unfortunately he has the means to create fear in our society and he has been effective.  We need to take our country back.  We are a better people than what we are exhibiting to the rest of the world.

God Bless our Country and its people.  Protect us from false witness.

BLM HIJACKED

I Miss You Daddy (Police Tribute) https://youtu.be/1XvRQGDsIqs via @YouTube

Time and time again as tragedy strikes our country, as people lose their lives and law enforcement is involved we witness a form of chaos.  I understand the pain of family, friends and community trying to make sense of their loss.   I understand their disbelief that the person who once had that life could have given justification that would allow the police to take that life from them.  I can empathize with that disbelief shouting for an explanation, some reason that could never be adequate in softening the pain they feel.

There is also the element, in the community, of the anger stemming from the frustration of living in a world that seems to treat them as second class citizens.  In a society that is perceived as one forcing a quality of life on one group far inferior to what they see existing in the rest of the world.  Human nature demands that inequality be eliminated.   If the maintenance of that inequality continues over generations an inherent anger boils out of the resentment carrying with it anger, hatred and mistrust.  In that context understanding the BLM movement, as a megaphone shouting enough is enough, is not that difficult.

The African American and Latino communities in our country are also individually divided within themselves.  Those who find their direction as that of striving through life by hard work and integration into the predominantly Caucasian society co-existing with those who see their only hope is in the survival of their clan.

Confrontation is inevitable between the clan and the larger society in which it fights for survival.  The distrust and hatred that flows generation to generation is a form of belief structure that becomes a natural part life.  This belief system, in our society, gains in strength every time a perceived injustice occurs.  Every time a member of their clan is detained, questioned the first inclination is to assume that is a result of bigotry on the part of other party.

That is a condition of society that needs to be questioned and the malignancy cured.  That is something that we need to correct based on mutual understanding but most of all based on reality and fact.  Trying to sort through the perceptions on both sides will demand understanding and concessions to be given by all components of our societal make up.  The fact of the matter is that any of us can feel threatened and intimidated, and we need to be aware that is occasionally justified, just not in all cases.  The BLM has brought that problem, the one of racial inequality, into society’s awareness.  Now the how to fix it stage is in progress, public awareness is demanding that progress.

One day live in a nation where they would not be judged "by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."  Martin Luther King.

The culture that is trying to grow and evolve with-in the United States has been struggling ever since the inception of slavery.  That malignancy has stained our goodness for almost 200 years and has weakened the strength of the cord that bonds us together.  The United States as a country, as a society has achieved things in our world far surpassing that of any in the history of the world.  We are the experiment intent on giving an example as to what can happen to the human race when the individual is given the opportunity to excel.  The stain of slavery is used to paint the whole of the experiment a very nasty color.  That failing, along with some others, continues to be a weapon in the hands of other who would see it fail.  Those others have hijacked, and stolen the message of the BLM movement, they have taken the grief and the pain of honest family and community and used it as a weapon against our way of life.

The theft of purpose has no good result for the BLM as the methodology of the Soros funded rioters is not intended to find any solutions.  Their intent is on creating anarchy, raising the temperature of hatred and resentment within our borders.  The MSMedia, and some politicians are complicit, driven by ideology, they feed the narrative expanding the anti-American sentiment.  These factions are the equivalent in nature to predators and devourers of carrion.

Pray for our Country, our people, and for peace.  Love your neighbor.

9/11 THEN AND NOW

Remembering 9/11/2001 and writing about are always equally heart wrenching.  The emotions that are so deeply connected to that series of events affect my life on an almost daily basis.  Fifteen years later the same emotions that flooded over me that morning still grab at me.  What makes it difficult to write about is making a cohesive comment about what resulted in my existing anger, sorrow, pride, and inability to fully understand why.  Intellectually it’s not that difficult as to the why or how but the how can people do such things will forever escape me.

I remember getting up that morning for an early sales meeting, getting into the shower, hearing my wife shouting at me to come
and see the televisions view of a plane flying into the 1st Tower.  Still drying myself off I watched as the second plane, making a slow turn then slamming into the second tower.  Oh my God it was not an accident.  Over the next few hours the horror continued to unfold, the anguish and compassion boiled up inside for all those poor people and their families.  As the buildings failed, the engineering was unable to predict such a cataclysmic event.  So many emotions emerged to fester within me some 15 years later.  The anger is still there, the burning need for revenge has dissipated and morphed into a strong desire to stop any form of hatred and actions formed by indoctrinated ideology.

Today 9/11/2016 I am still trying to gain an understanding of those events, I am still emotionally affected, but I now know who and I know the why.  I watched our people, all races, colors and creeds. The people that make up the cornucopia we call the United States of America.  I watched and felt in my heart as they joined together and in purpose to undertake the task at hand.  It was surely reminiscent of the unity of purpose and prayer that brought us to victory during WWII.  I watched as our people united behind a President we all knew, at that point in time, had our backs and would see our much needed justice.

Today I find myself still rising early and turning on the television to peruse the latest news and political bickering.  This morning the first thing to hit my eyes and ears was the vision of our President.  I very seldom see Barrack H Obama as the President of all of, as a result of so many of my own particular views and his.  Today as he spoke he struck me a solidly the president of all of us.  He spoke of many places in both of our hearts, and once again I felt a spark of unity between citizen and President.  It felt good.

Later on in the broadcast, much of what took place that morning in 2001, the subject of United Flight #93 and the memorial were shown and spoken about.  It reminded me of what makes me so proud of our nation, our flag, and it’s people.

United Airlines flight #93 held 7 crew members, 33 passengers and 4 hijackers.  Watching that show this morning I learned that the memorial had not only the names of those victims on display, but there were tapes of passenger communications.  The plane had been late on its takeoff and because of that many of the passengers were aware of the planes being flown into the towers.  They knew that the terrorists who had taken control of their plane had no intent of landing the plane in one piece.  With the terrorists in charge or the plane they still managed a vote, a vote that saved many lives that day.  What I find so American about their act was not the heroism involved but rather the depth of compassion they had to feel for the people they would save.  Rather than sit still, as frozen in fear victims, they realized they would not survive the day.  They chose to take away the advantage the terrorists held. they chose to use their lives to save the lives of people they didn’t even know.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

When they chose to use their lives to save the lives of people they didn’t even know, was that act even greater?  I think so.  The mentality of sacrifice runs deep within our national dna. Even as we have those who disparage our county, our flag and our anthem there are those who put their bodies, their very lives, at risk for others.

Those men and women deserve our respect.  They deserve to be honored in voices of thanksgiving.  The men and women who serve the rest of us do not deserve to be targets, as pawns in ideologically composed internal disagreement and resentment.

We are fortunate to live in what history will see as the greatest social experiment and achievement since the birth of our species.  We need to start acting out of our best.

God Bless America.  Pray for your neighbor and your enemy.

REMEMBER 2012

I often repeat myself as it seems some things just don’t change to my liking.  The lack of those changes brings me to the act of reviewing my own scribblings. Occasionally I find myself wanting to repeat my own words in regards to our nation’s societal and political activity.

What I found interesting was a post made just before one of the 2012 Presidential debates on subjects still in our present Presidential choice dialogue.

The failures of the Obama/Clinton foreign policies regarding Lybia. The falsehoods perpetrated in order to cover up what happened in Benghazi. The discovery of classified e-mails being lost, misplaced and destroyed in the process of the cover up.   Those same subjects are an integral part in current Presidential selection.

The truth and fact surrounding Benghazi will not change. Hopefully, the strength of the ideology, trying to hide them, will disapate.

The following is from a post on my earlier blog dated September 13, 2012:

Another anniversary took place this week.  While we in the United States were intent on paying our respects to the lives lost to Islamic extremists on September 11, 2001, Islamic Fundamentalists had another hate filled act in mind.  Knowing that 9/11 is a sensitive date to the Islamists, our country failed to be vigilant and as a result American lives were again lost on American soil.
The current administration’s policy of “don’t offend the Muslim population of the world” exhibits the utmost naiveté and endangers our country and that of our allies.  There should be no doubt as to the tinder box the Middle East psychology is in reality, but this administration tries to act as if the Shariaist extremists are not our enemy.
The administration’s policies of appeasement neglect utilization of information gathering capabilities and all resources available to keep our nation and our citizens free of attack.  The dream of “hope”, that all would be “lion lying with the lamb”, has proven to be a nightmare.  The numerous times this administration has thrown our country to the wolves in favor of a one world order, will be shown in history to be a massive trigger toward “Armageddon”.  Those who are ashamed of the United States position, as a powerful sheriff, need to put fact in front of fantasy.  It has been through the actions of the United States that there is a “Free World”.  Abdication of that responsibility, through weakening of our military, will lead to worldwide anarchy.  The riots in Libya and Egypt, along with the ongoing farce of talks with Iran, translate in the Middle East as American weakness.
Nature has been a system of survival of the fittest, regardless of what is or is not pleasing.  When we appear weak, we incite violence against our people and our country.  We have shown our weakness to a myriad of governments and ideologues who would gladly join together to cause the downfall of the United States of America.  The fact that China, Russia and Iran have scheduled joint naval war games, that China and Russia have blocked every peaceful resolution to Iran’s nuclear program, is a sign not to be ignored.  The Mid-Eastern saying that your enemy is my enemy takes on a great meaning.  We do not dare ignore the threat to our country created by the “Appeasement Doctrine” of this administration.

As we come to decision making time we have the choice of electing one of the architects of the failed policies or a man with no “political” experience.
An old adage says “fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice shame on me.”  Well we have already been down the road twice.

Pray for our country, and our people.  Pray for discernment and the return of morality.  Love your neighbor.

God bless our country.

AND TRUMP ACCUSED OF

Def.  xen·o·pho·bic: adjective  having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.
Def.  Bigot:  a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people

Enough with the baloney already.
The tar and feather factions of the progressive ideologies have joined forces with those throwing a hissy fit on the right.  The attempt to twist and abuse the factual content of Mr. Trump’s stances on Radical Islamic Terrorism and illegality at our southern border has been largely successful.  Terms like hateful, bigoted, racist, xenophobic, have been used with abandon in order to create a perception unsupported by fact.  As usual, the firestorm is fanned by a ratings hungry media and a click hungry bunch of bloggers.  The left side of politics is more than happy to add their support to this and that is easily understood.  What is difficult to understand is why the conservative GOP is so intent on messing around on the wrong side of what could benefit their political goals.

Political correctness has run amok in our society, our history being rewritten and our future directed by the few.  Anyone who can access a microphone or a reporter (sometimes questionable) has the power of directing our sociological path with their hurt feelings.  This is nothing less than a form of social readjustment similar to the restrictions imposed in Germany during the 1930’s and early 1940’s.  We, as a unified country and international community, opposed that then, why not now?

Mr. Trump is applying for the position of POTUS, the most important office in the United States.  Should he acquire that position he will be required to take an oath in which he agrees to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States.  Within the boundaries of that oath he is agreeing to defend the people of this nation, all of us, from enemies within and without.  Protecting our borders, as defined in our laws, and protecting our economy it seems would come under the inclusions of that oath.

In relation to our Muslim citizens, I don’t think they would be interpreting Mr. Trump’s stance on keeping us safe from Radical Islamic Terrorists as being racist, bigoted, or xenophobic in nature if it weren’t for the twisting of his words.  The Muslim population worldwide has suffered terrific loss of life, country and stability at the hands of this terrorist bunch of fanatics.  I would venture a guess they don’t want that brand of Islam in their neighborhoods any more that the rest of us.  Media and ideology have discolored truth and political correctness as the paintbrush of choice.

In reference to opening our doors to all Muslims because they are Muslims, is not rational and we do need to be assured of which set of belief structures they emulate.  Not a good time to just open your front door.  Mr. Trump’s stance on Muslim immigrants into our country, quoting him:   "Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life." That quote sounds a lot more like common sense approach than a bigoted or racist one.  It most assuredly is not at odds with our Constitution as one recent democrat speaker inferred during the DNC.

Regarding our southern border, the Donald wall, and the rule of law, I find it difficult to label him as a xenophobe for stating he will take his oath as President as an oath.  Our country has existing immigration laws that have been abused, often ignored not just by those entering our country but by the very government officials we have elected.  While I think we have to find a humane way to deal with people who have behaved as law abiding citizens. we do not have to continue with the malfeasance as common practice.  Trump stating he wants to stop the influx of drugs and criminals, not to mention Jihadists, by enforcing our border does not make him a racist or a bigot.

Wake up folks, you are being manipulated, and it’s not going to serve you well if it is successful.

Pray for discernment.  Demand honesty and truth.

God bless our country and our neighbors.

JUST A COINCIDENCE

I received this as an e-mail and found it somewhat thought provoking.  If I were into conspiracy theory    well you decide

Before Obama, there was virtually no outlandish presence of Islam in America.
• All of a Sudden, Islam is taught in schools. Christianity and the Bible are banned in schools.
• All of a Sudden we must allow prayer rugs everywhere and allow for Islamic prayer in schools, airports and businesses.
• All of a Sudden we must stop serving pork in prisons.
• All of a Sudden we are inundated with law suits by Muslims who are offended by American culture.
• All of a Sudden we must allow burkas to be worn everywhere even though you have no idea who or what is covered up under them.
• All of a Sudden Muslims are suing employers and refusing to do their jobs if they personally deem it conflicts with Sharia Law.

• All of a Sudden the Attorney General of the United States vows to prosecute anyone who engages in "anti-Muslim Speech".
• All of a Sudden, Jihadists who engage in terrorism and openly admit they acted In the name of Islam and ISIS, determined NOT to be Terrorism, but other nebulous terms like 'workplace violence."
• All of a sudden our troops are withdrawn from Iraq and the Middle East, giving rise to ISIS.
• All of a Sudden, a deal with Iran must be made at any cost, with a pathway to nuclear weapons and HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of dollars handed over to fund their programs.
• All of a Sudden America APOLOGIZES to Muslim States and sponsors of terror worldwide for acts of aggression, war and sabotage THEY perpetrate against our soldiers.
• All of a Sudden, the American Navy is diminished to 1917 Pre-World War I levels of only 300 ships.  The Army is at pre-1940 levels. The Air Force scraps 500 planes and planned to retire the use of the A-10
Thunderbolt close air support fighter. A further draw down of another 40,000 military personnel is in progress.
• All of a Sudden half of our aircraft carriers are recalled for maintenance by Obama rendering the Atlantic
unguarded, NONE are in the Middle East.
• All of a Sudden Obama has to empty Guantanamo Bay of captured Jihadists and let them loose in Jihad-friendly Islamic States. He demands to close the facility.
• All of a Sudden America will negotiate with terrorists and trade FIVE Taliban Commanders for a deserter and Jihad Sympathizer.
• All of a Sudden there is no money for American poor, disabled veterans, jobless Americans, hungry Americans, or displaced Americans but there is endless money for Obama's "Syrian refugee" resettlement programs.
• All of sudden there is an ammunition shortage in the USA.
• All of a Sudden, the most important thing for Obama to do after a mass shooting by two Jihadists is disarm
American Citizens.
• All of a Sudden, the President of the United States cannot attend the Christian funerals of a Supreme Court
Justice and a former First Lady because of previous (seemingly unimportant) Commitments.

MORAL COMPASS

Right or wrong, we all have an inner guidance system to steer our tendencies in one direction or another. We call it our moral compass.
I have been lucky throughout my life. I haven’t always headed true North on my moral compass but at least I was given a compass in working order.  Early on, in my exploration life, my compass was calibrated by a strong sense of family. Family extended through parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents.  I grew up in a rural ranching environment that implanted the directive that eating involved working together toward a common goal.

It taught me in order to have the bread, it was necessary to nurture the plants, to get the grain needed to make the flour to make the bread we eat.  I learned if you wanted to drink water from the cistern, you had to make the pump work.  I learned that nothing happens if you do nothing.  Anything that happens to a human child from birth until the age of reason is pure luck for that child.  The child has no choice of circumstance or of picking who will be tinkering with the compass.  Like I said, I was lucky.  My parents set up my compass to include a positive direction that defined both positive and negative direction.  In today’s society not everyone is that lucky.

Trekking through nature without a compass is tricky and dangerous without one that is working correctly.  Over time we have learned that compasses can be affected by other magnetic influences.  Our moral compass is no different.  Excepting the fact that mans’ moral compass is affected by so many more types of influencing factors.  One of the strongest influences on our compass is that of our peers.

The small town and the times I grew up in gave me directional signs to follow.  I saw the directions my parents had shown me were similar as those of the community.  I learned that staying the course was acceptable and going off course had repercussions.  It was an early lesson in cause and effect, a law of universal truth.  Parents, extended family and community provided me with a high powered compass.  Cause and effect also come into play by dictating the necessity of maintenance.  Looking at the moral compass guiding our society, judging its working order by where we are headed, it is in need of repair. Unfortunately, it’s not just the society of our country but our peers in other nations who influence our magnetic direction.

Like I said, my compass was not kept in good working order at times, but that goes for a different topic and a different time.
What happens to the child who is not as lucky with his fate?  What happens when the training wheels for the compass are skewed?  What happens when all the technicians for compass repair are on a sabbatical or just plain missing in action?  What happens to a young human when they are shoved into a world without any sense of direction or tools to get where they need to go?  What happens when the peers affecting their direction have faulty compasses as well?  The world society is losing the battle of direction.  We can’t possibly change direction by looking at the effects of the missing compass.  Without repairing the manufacturing process, the compass needed will never be accurate.

Psychology has long carried on the debate regarding the growth of the human being.  Are we a product of genetics, or of learned behaviors, an empty blackboard to be scribbled on by our environment?  If I were to venture my best guess it would be that all of the above would be the prize winning answer.  The genetics we can’t change, at least at this time in our evolution, but the blackboard can be scribbled upon with gibberish or clear cursive common sense right and wrong.  If those children are allowed to continue along life’s many paths without a proper working compass we are all affected.

When one child is killed by a gang in Chicago, we are all diminished. We need to be honest about what screwed up someone’s compass for that to happen.   How does it happen that a child feels so helpless that they choose a peer group who believes breaking the law, not valuing the sanctity of life, and anger is a good direction for life?  Where are those who could repair and maintain those compasses?  We all have an obligation to guide and nurture our children.  Every time we fail to support the principles of self-determination, of responsibility for self, the sanctity of all life, we fail in our purpose for existence.  Every time we fail to provide our children the tools of education, safety, and solid community, we fail in our responsibility as a human being.  Every time we reinforce hatred and anger, we have failed humanity.  We are supposed to be better than that.

In our world today, the societal influence leading humanity into the desert is evident.  We see the effects of indoctrination, propaganda and ideology throughout our planet.  We see the effect of bastardizing the belief structure of Islam, the devastation caused by infused hatred, bigotry and prejudice.  The implied permission to murder those of different beliefs is granted under the skewed moral compass of indoctrination.  Indoctrination scribbled upon the blackboard of thousands of children.  Indoctrination affects us all. The compass we work with can only be corrected knowledge based in truth and fact.  We have a responsibility. I question our resolve to accept and act accordingly.

Are we teaching the oneness of humanity or the divisiveness that is straining the working ability of an accurately tuned compass?

.No matter what color of the human rainbow your neighbor is, there is just one rainbow.

God bless our nation and our world.  Give us discernment individually and collectively.

Love your neighbor.

and HERE WE GO

Sunday morning talk shows and news commentary abound with innumerable spinning top politicians and surrogates.  Meanwhile, the internet group spews forth their own personalized brand of bovine fertilizer, designed to further either fear or discontent.  There is so much propaganda rhetoric coming from all sides, it is difficult not to become mentally and emotionally dizzy.  This is nothing new in our society.  We have lived in times of “he said” “she said” and it seems difficult anymore to believe what we personally see and experience.  To make rational choices, we need to separate the “stuff” from reality.

We are confronted with the fact that our time of decision will be on our shoulders in just a few short months.  We also have to realize that the choices we make will affect generations after we are gone.  The affecting results of judicial choice will affect more than just you and me.  This is not a responsibility to be taken lightly.

For some reason this morning, the spinning top of agenda really got my attention.  I have watched CBS Sunday Morning for the last 25 years and it has been a source of enjoyment.  This morning it became clear to me that the political agenda of CBS has become so prevalent that, that, hour of my week has been ruined.  Restating my lack of respect for the partially true reporting of the Trump campaign will serve no purpose but to allow my venting.  Once again I watched and listened to a slant that was different than what my own eyes and ears experienced. I wrote of that in an earlier blog, http://arbeeresponds2.blogspot.com/2016/07/what-di-d-you-hear.html

Reality and facts need to be assessed without the discoloration of ideology and false information if we are to make such an important decision.  Repeating the same actions that have been proven inadequate in the past will not change results.  In fact, that is the definitive action of insanity.  We elect the same people from the same stable. The people who use the same self-approved methods of inadequacy.  We expect them to pull us back from the brink of the same old precipice.  That’s just plain nuts.

Our republic was founded on the principles of self-determination and freedom and yet our freedoms are continuously stripped away through law and regulation.  I agree that some laws are needed but have you ever heard of any governance that has deleted a substantial number of those that are outdated or unnecessary?  I didn’t think so.  We elect lawyer after lawyer, without any term limits, to govern our freedoms and our safety.  What have we reaped from that sowing?  We now have regulatory powers imposing ideologies without any representation from “We the people”.  Forgive me I digress.

I personally believe that to review and state current conditions, with the understanding that they are changeable, is not a bleak and dark viewpoint.  If I were to hear that there is no chance of changing the circumstance that would be bleak and dark.  Covering my head, blindfolding my eyes, plugging my ears is never going to change what is.  Trying to fix something is never going to accomplish anything, but fixing a problem will. The practice of not admitting what is fact is similar to driving your car blindfolded on an unfamiliar road. That is just not wise, and your outing is not going to end well.  What I fear is not the one who sees a problem and resolves to fix that problem, but the one that says the garden is free of snakes when I can see them myself.

We are confronted with the prospect of compounding the effects of mismanagement of our country or taking it in a different direction for a new result.  The facts are easily researched: our economy is not at an optimum; our city neighborhoods are not as safe as they could be; our law enforcement people are being attacked; racism has been accelerated by distrust; ISIS, Daesh, is real and presents a danger; our southern border is an avenue for illegal drugs and infiltration by Islamic Radical Terrorists; harboring large numbers of folks that we are unable to properly vet puts citizens in danger; our inability to enforce immigration laws is also a danger to our citizenship.  The list goes on.

Status Quo is not a solution.  Believing spin is not a good impetus for positive action.  Use your God given ability to reason.

Pray for our country, pray for discernment and love your fellow man.  He has no color and his heart beats.
God Bless the USA and our world.

PICK YOUR PLANET

What color is the sky on your planet?
We could ask that question of our news media, our political leadership and all the different factions of society that we have been herded into.  The degree of separation seems to be more than just talking points, more than planetary but could be represented by our solar systems.  This weekend (7/23/1016) will give us the opportunity to explore those solar systems through the eyes of the varied inhabitants of them.  Unfortunately, we have managed to squeeze all of those differences into one segment of one small continent.  We are the United States which at this point is anything but united.
It’s Saturday morning at my house and time for the weekly news recaps, salted with ideology, ready to feed my hungry mind.  It would be helpful if there were just the one language where we would be able to understand all of these inhabitants of the other solar systems.  It seems it is more than just a question of language. What I see and hear is not the same as what you might see or hear.
I don’t understand the media attack on Mr. Trump’s speech on Thursday night pointing out much of what my eyes and ears observe in my world was just plain wrong.  The solar system of media says his speech was dark and foreboding.  The media stated his speech offered no hope or promise of a brighter sky or any path of improvement.  Our President and the Democratic solar systems say that our world may not be perfect but there is no cause for concern.  The media says the GOP is trying to separate and divide our country and put the GOP on the track of racial divide. The GOP candidate is a dangerous bigot who will destruct the entire universe.  Their sky is only dark if our population chooses to elect Donald J. Trump.
What are we to believe?  Are we to believe our own eyes and ears?  Are we to believe that what we saw and heard is really what the media says they saw and heard? Is reality and truth really that different in their solar systems?  The administration with the megaphone of the Presidential office would have us believe that the 80% of those watching and listening to the RNC were all mistaken. The RNC offered no light to our society according to the media who saw it differently.  How in their solar system can they see rosy and calm and a canoe on a quiet smooth lake when over 60% of our population sees us heading toward a huge waterfall?  How can they see and hear darkness, doom and gloom when most of our population saw and heard a positive and hopeful statement.
I heard a presentation that held out the truthful and factual realities of where we are right now, today.  Our society is under attack and just not by radical Islamic terrorists.  Our common beliefs, our common language, our pride of country, our economic success and freedoms have been under attack from both inside and out.  Without seeing and recognizing the problem and the realities, there will be no cure.  The sky in my solar system is gray and cloudy with glimmers of blue and sunshine.  Granted the sky in the RNC closing was painted with the brush of reality, but it was clear there are rainbows and clear skies on the Trump horizon.  That is hope!
God Bless the USA.

Pray for discernment.

SO HERE WE ARE, DAESH IS AT WAR

History is and always has been static, at least to our best information.  “Now” is static as well simply because its existence is so quickly replaced by history.
In order to help future, the “nows” should be used to understand, recognize and act upon history.  It really doesn’t matter what took place in all of our yesterdays, if we ignore and mislead ourselves about the now they created. Why is the most important question we need to ask ourselves. We ask the “past” why a specific event took place.  If we discard the truth component as part of that answer, “now” forces us to learn by repetition.  If we fail to honestly assess the results of our decisions, actions and plans, history will repeat as many times as we fail our “now’s”. Wow, what a vicious cycle is created by the idiocy of denial. Kind of makes your head spin. Could I have said that I need to understand the “how” and why of yesterday in order to effectively plan for tomorrow.  Then act accordingly right now.  Probably, perhaps I may do that next time.
Recent history proves out the failures and the misuse of so many “nows”.  We need our leaders to recognize what part their particular ideological weaknesses have played in creating danger for our nation.  Like it or not, our world is at war.  Like it or not, we are in a WWIII situation against a medusa of ideology.  Like it or not, we have to admit the truth. The time is now.  Unless we fully recognize and engage as real, enemy history will repeat and it will continue to spread infectiously and epidemically. Like it or not, the fact of now is this will continue to live as long as our tactics to defeat it are halfhearted. Medusa cannot be killed by cutting off one or two heads, as they are replaced by two or three more.  Medusa requires a full scale assault, not just on the heads, on the entire body of the beast in order to protect the civilizations already covered in the blood of our innocents.
History tells the tale of what took place when Radical Islamic Jihadists created a caliphate. The word jihadist matters.  That caliphate spread across the Middle East, Africa and Spain.  It was as barbaric as the one we call Isis, the one more appropriately called Daesh and the less correct term Isil.  The caliphates’ dominance and control of those areas continued until met with equal ferocity and barbarism of the Crusades. Could the Crusades be a possible response to the barbaric Medusa of today’s world?  Do we owe the future more than what we are admitting or doing right now?
In the past “now” created the United States of America, gave it abilities surpassing any other in history.  Has the interpretation of that history through the eyes of ideology been complicit in the advance of Daesh and its successful uses of barbarism?  We as a nation have been given more than just ability and resource.  We have been given the responsibility of action.  Like it or not we are at war.  Like it or not we do have the responsibility of leading, and like it or not we need to be completely honest in our examination and use of history.  If you as an individual are being physically attacked, denying that fact is not going to change your degree of safety.  If you tell that attacker you will not harm them, that recusal of action will not diminish their ability to cause you bodily harm.  Telling them that you understand and respect their right to anger will not save you from a severe beating.
The United States of America has a responsibility to tomorrow.  It needs to have a rational plan on how to be the most effective leader possible.  Most importantly our government needs to understand the importance of “NOW”.  We have a responsibility to be “the good Samaritan”.
God bless our country, guide or decisions, and protect ability to meet our responsibilities.  Pray for our country, pray for civilization.

GUN CONTROL INANE THEATRICS

“Synonym Discussion of INANE:  insipid, vapid, flat, jejune, banal, inane mean devoid of qualities that make for spirit and character. insipid implies a lack of sufficient taste or savor to please or interest <an insipidromance with platitudes on every page>. vapid suggests a lack of liveliness, force or spirit <an exciting story given a vapidtreatment>. flat applies to things that have lost their sparkle or zest <although well-regarded in its day, the novel now seems flat>. jejune suggests a lack of rewarding or satisfying substance <a jejune and gassy speech>. banal stresses the complete absence of freshness, novelty, or immediacy <a banaltale of unrequited love>. inane implies a lack of any significant or convincing quality <an inane interpretation of the play>.”
There is just no better choice of words to describe what is taking place on the floor of the House of Congress than inane.  To watch a major bunch of elected representatives opt for the chance of approval through the use of theatrics is a major waste of our money and their time.  This all appears very important, very caring and morally superior until you understand it is all in the name of creating that perception.  Adhering to the progressive idiom “let no serious crisis ‘.  The Democrats staging a full press filibuster is one of the best examples of inane, and we’ve had many examples out of that bunch yet.
Insanity might be another appropriate description of their activity, “to repeat the same action over and over while expecting a different result”.  They are wasting our congressional time to vote on the same bill, one rejected by both sides of the Senate last week.  Both mom and dad, red and blue, said no to this so there is nothing left for these petulant little brats to do but lay on the floor kicking and screaming without sense.  That activity is not a legitimate or even serious attempt to halt the atrocities such as the Orlando massacre, but is an attempt to gain more power going into the November elections.  The members on the left side of the Congressional aisle know there is no validity to their theatrics, but they also know there is a vast portion of our population who will block out reason with the earplugs of emotion.

The Senate did not abdicate their responsibility in rejecting the four gun control bills presented, as none of the four would have prevented any of the torrents of killings that have taken place in our country over the last decade and a half.  We need to find a way to stop massacres, so instead of wasting our time, why not be constructive.  There is enough mutual sentiment within the walls of the governing bodies to make realistic gains in the protection of our people.  Kicking and screaming in support of nonsense is not an answer, it is an insult to the society at large.
Our rights under the second amendment need to be protected, as well as the right to not being unjustly accused of the crime of being on the no fly list.  Not that hard of a compromise to reach.

? GUNS ARE THE PROBLEM

“History is full of examples of leaders and politicians secure in their positions, deposed by anger and retribution in the pursuit of individual freedom.  Today is no different.  The struggle for population dominance is occurring on the stage of today.  History, when viewed logically, shows that although weaponry is important in these struggles, the actual struggle is most generally a result of dominance run amok.  The practice of limiting the population’s ability to horde and have weapons is an effective way of limiting the damages caused to those in the chair of political dominance.  Thus the confiscation of those weapons would quell any anti-government activity and makes the politic more secure and more powerful.”  Excerpted “GERMANY HERE WE COME” Arbee responds 2
The Second Amendment to the Constitution allows the citizens of our republic to own weapons, not for providing food but for providing our safety and the preservation of our freedoms.  An amendment designed specifically to provide all of us a means of protection against oppression by governments foreign and domestic.  The meaning of this amendment is quite simple, succinct and easily interpreted.
We have allowed the discussion to revolve around the devastating effects of guns being used to effect harm upon innocent individuals, specific groups  and children just to mention a few.  The havoc and body count left behind these occurrences have fueled one of the most contentious arguments of our time.  The feelings of sorrow and devastating effects of these shootings are felt by us all, liberal and conservative alike.  Unless we are mentally ill, we generally despise this type of violence.
Facts and logic have an ugly way of ruining another wise, lovely, intelligent and sensitive way of looking at these occurrences.  It’s simple to maintain the belief that the tool used is causal. That answer is way too simple in fact.  The fact is that before guns were even invented atrocities existed.  The discourse weapon of today’s discussion is misdirection.  The recent tragedy of Orlando has been quickly moved from the horror and emotional aftermath into the realm of political justification.  Not justification of the act but a justification of political position.  It is politically correct to call the tool used in these events as a portion of the why instead of merely the how.  Using this approach is a means of hiding the neglect of our politic in taking care of the underlying cause of each event.  How is important to the discussion, but why is where the discussion should be focused.  Even though the how, or tool, has been the same in many of these tragedies, the why has been a variable.  As long as we argue about the tool used, we neglect to correct any of the real factors that could prevent it from happening.  Political ideologies have long infected this discussion; pitting feelings and sensitivity against logic and in some cases fears.  This misdirection, used by both sides, hides too many failures of those we entrust with our safety.  We might think the politic wants the removal of guns as a power protective measure, after all an insurrection with rocks and sticks would be a relatively impotent adversary.  Good thing I don’t believe in such nonsense.
Facts of discussion are:  guns are just a tool, not the only tool; guns never pull the trigger by themselves; there are many more tools available to perform the same amount of devastation; ideology, mental illness, crime, anger, intoxication, all of these can be causal factors.  Guns cannot be causal.  In the case of deaths caused by drunk drivers I have never heard of or seen any reports of the car being the cause, or for that matter even the alcohol, neither of which end up being put in jail.  Facts are in any case the disaffected human being is the ultimate factor of similarity.
In terms of preventing these mass murders, both shooting and by other means, one other item seems to be threading its way into oblivion.  We have experienced a lack of communication between our law enforcement, a misleading of public sentiment to intentionally protect those in current positions of political power.  The dissemination of facts to our society has taken a miserable turn for the worse.  We have seen this proclivity for lies under the guise of political correctness take a firm grasp on our media and population.  We have an administration that refuses to bring fanatics adhering to a fundamentalist view of Islam as a part of the conversation because they believe we are too stupid to know that some never equals all.  This climate of spinning fact is getting quite tiresome and until we start reacting to the fact instead of the spin we all are in jeopardy.

Why are we unable to separate the how from the age old law of cause and effect?

IT IS NEVER "ALL"

During and after last night GOP's debate it occurred to me that our society, i.e. most people living in our country, are unable to accept individuality.  To define any group by the actions of one or a few within that group as "all" is a dangerous error.  The effect of that type of thinking promotes ignorance and prejudice.  We saw that during the debate in the questions and in a lot of the responses to those questions.
I'm as upset as anyone regarding our parties inability to change and or upset the applecart of progressive liberalism which infects our society, but.  As Senator Rubio pointed out, regarding the Islamist jihadists, not "all" Muslims are infected with a hatred of American values, principles and our people.  The world has a difficult problem on its hands.  How do we acknowledge the existence of millions of Islamic Jihadists within the group of a billion or more Muslims who are peace loving, patriotic, positive contributing members of the world and the nations in which they abide?  We have a right of protection both nationally and individually against those who would do us harm.  To accept all or to deny all is not an intelligent answer, nor is it logical.  Once again I reference Senator Rubio.  It is a fact that there are multitudes of patriotic American Muslims, there are Muslim countries that oppose, both actively and passively, the Jihadist movement.  To paint all Muslims with any singular brush will and can only have a negative effect in the annals of history.

I was raised on a cattle ranch in Eastern Oregon and drawing on that country boy experience I can only think about how we used the tools of a good cutting horse and our ability to use a rope in order to cull our herds.  In similar parables, a surgeon does not exterminate the whole body to remove a tumor, nor does a dentist pull out all of the teeth because of a cavity.  Common sense says that we need an effective method of determining what and who needs to be extracted from our countries population, and denying the problem and the source is one of the propagating factors of the expansion of Islamic Jihadism.  We need to understand that the hatred of our culture and our people is not due to any action of our people, but it stems from the basic culture and indoctrination of that infected belief system with in the larger religion of Islam.  Our politically correct methods of “niceeenesssss” has not and will not change centuries of indoctrination.  We need to operate within the realm of truthful reality and not that of fantasy.  The Muslim population knows the difference and its high time both they and we work together to put this part of human history  as people who have overcome prejudicial hatred.
