TO BE EXPECTED

 TO BE EXPECTED

At a time in history when we are so separated emotionally, physically, and politically, why were we in such a hurry to condone lax voting requirements?

During the existence of our republic, our citizens have always been able to swallow the bitter taste of losing our political arguments.  We have always been able to out-number the outlying corner of dissent and to coalesce as a united force in the world.  I would expect we will be able to do so at this time, perhaps not to the degree of acceptance of the result that we have ever reached in the past.

Our divisions, due to the myriad of causes, have given us reason to doubt, to fear, and to dismiss every situation that we are on the different side of the coin.  The doubts created during the counting of our vote ballots and the gathering processes in progress are doing our country a grave disservice.  So much for reviving unity.

Our governing politic looms large in this formula as does our watchdog the “Press” which we gave the “freedom of the press”.  We no longer have the yardstick of honesty in fact to base our decisions of national direction on.  The factor of truth, formerly base on fact, has been replaced with the unending barrage of personal opinions coming from the mouths of those susceptible to the propaganda and partial truths they have been in contact with over the course of time.

In the jungle of politics, this weakness has allowed the predatory lure of political power and societal control, to attack our freedom of choice of whom we elect as leaders.  Using the basic and fundamental underlying foundation of the majority of our country’s people, “fairness” and “equality”, we have attempted to give our citizens easier means of voting.  This factor has put ourselves in a situation of potential national disaster as a society.

Our politicians, in an effort to win, have not always had our country’s best interests at heart.  There are actually times in that “game” they have attempted to change the rules, the number of players, and the position of the goalposts.  The oath of office taken by those we have elected, hired and are paying for, should require those folks to put the country first, in front of self and party.

Using the “China Pandemic” fear-factor, as a cause for change, changes to our voting process have increased the opportunity and probability that vote manipulation will or can occur.  Instead of creating rules that would give us all a degree of trust in the process our leaders have managed to increase doubt.  Regardless of which side, red or blue shirts, ends up with the most points… doubt in the process has been established.

Our democratic republic has received a systematic blow from our own hands.

Without our individual effort to seek fact, over innuendo, propaganda, and self-serving rhetoric,

We are in danger of losing that which is inherent in nature.

IRONY, OUR HOUSE OF MIRRORS

IRONY:a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result.

The irony of today is in no way amusing

It seems that we are living in a world comprised of circus mirrors, a world where nothing is what we have hoped for and aspired to be. It’s as if our country and our way of life, once looked upon much as one would view a lush green landscape is suddenly recognized as ravaged by a slow insidious iceberg of hatred, mistrust, and greed.

There are many, in our society that fill our streets with violence, crime and anarchy.  This state of ruination seems to have erupted like a volcano rumbling far beneath for so long and then breaking through the lush green of our country to spew dark ugly hatred over our land.

Those who would see our country, our great experiment of freedoms and opportunity destroyed in the name of control and power, have been allowed to exist much the same as the iceberg or the volcano.  We “the people” have chosen our leaders, (not all), because of what they have sold us, what they may give us rather than what they do for “the people” and the good of the country.

Using the weapons of hatred, mistrust, and the partial truths of oppression to create the fire we watch destroying our streets, our prosperity, and most importantly, destroying our unity as a people.  Our words are no longer to be trusted as positive communication they are being used and miss-used, by some to magnify ills in our national body.  We have allowed propaganda to separate our “one nation under god” into “a nation divided into small tribes” pitted against each other.  I can guarantee that this nation founded under the God fearing and God loving tenants of our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution didn’t prevent Satan from helping with that divisive factor.

We have allowed our good dog to be tethered and our bad dog to roam freely, how ironic that our good intentioned freedom of speech has allowed the tyranny of socialism and communism to infect our body.  Sadly, that is just a symptom, not the cause or the weakness that has allowed that to occur.  We have allowed a societal shift in values to creep through our population. It’s ironic that our desire to allow, anyone person, the freedom to be anything, anyway, anytime, anyplace has created so many more cracks and divisions.  Our desire to be loving, caring, charitable toward all people, we have allowed that to happen with all good intentions not necessarily with wisdom, prudence or in most cases logic.  Centuries of history have shown so many bad actors, literature and the arts have depicted villain after villain, adage has told us so many times “a leopard cannot change its spots” we have however seen snakes shed skin and acquire a new look.

Even with all the warnings we have destroyed what were our family values with the desire to have whatever we want whenever (selfishness and greed).  We have been lulled to complacency with the bounty our nation has provided the majority ignoring, to some degree, the pain and festering anger of those in the minority.  That pain has been intensified by those politicians, race baiters, and educators who use that anger to feed their own purpose.   Not only is it ironic, that those who profess to be on the side of the minority, the poor, the infirm, the elderly, actually cause the most harm and that is much worse than ironic.

The Democratic party has shouted their own praises for representing the little guy by battling the big bad rich guy, for trying to raise the minimum wage, by spending more on education, and most recently for sanctuary cities and releasing those who have broken laws.  The really big one is their defense of abortion which has cost the lives of more under-privileged and minority lives than any other program in our history.  Democrat support of the teacher’s unions in lieu of school choice has been one of the major causes of poor educational provision in those communities.  Finally, they have decided that defunding law enforcement is a good thing.  Really?

They blame our racial problems on systemic racism and I believe they are correct in that assumption, but they have placed the blame on the wrong carrier.  The carrier is not “white privilege”, it is not a corrupt law enforcement population.  Systemic racism exists throughout the rainbow of our country’s skin tones and it exists because of so many, many different reasons.  The main reason is learned reason to fear that have been passed down generationally.

LOGICAL PROGRESSION

CURRENT CONDITION>UNDERLYING CAUSATION>CORRECTION:
A basic rule of the universe since the beginning is the rule of “cause and effect”.  There is always a reaction for every action that is enacted.  One of my favorite go-to books is As a Man Thinketh written by James Allen.  His book proposes that we are what we think, just another example of cause and effect.  If we take that a little bit further, our society is a result of a mass of thought.  It is up to each of us as individuals to understand what result our individual belief systems will contribute to society.
Our individual responsibility is to be the gatekeeper of what comes into our minds.  The process of “garbage in garbage out” pertains to our minds just as much as to computer programming, and there is plenty of garbage to go around.  We all have our favorite sources of thought food, often without even understanding the truth that went into our minds diet.  Mankind is basically a social animal and as such tends to have a herd mentality and as the old adage states, birds of a feather flock together and will follow the flock into any abyss.
Societies are bombarded from every side with propaganda from news media, politicians, product promotion and educators.  The effect on adults is monumental but even more horrendous is the effect on future members, our children.  Those future members of our society are sponges to what is being fed into their minds.  They are taught what to think, what to believe, how to act or react to those they come in contact with.  They are not equipped with veracity filters that would allow them to discard false knowledge.  They are primed and ready for indoctrination.
The crime of our society is that we are being programmed to distrust our neighbor and to deny them the right of discussion.  We no longer base our decisions on fact but instead, we look to our feelings, which most often are a result of propaganda and indoctrination, in lieu of the facts.  Honesty is a good thing.  It is based on our beliefs and it allows a true vision of what we believe to other folks of what we think is true.  The problem is determining the truth of what we think.  We should look at the resulting facts of what we believe to be true.  Is what we think reality or not?  In most cases, what we believe is just partially true and we need to sift out the garbage part of our beliefs if that is going to be our personal description. Mankind is flawed, we are susceptible to partial truth, we make mistakes, but we are seldom all one way.  We are a conglomerate of our experience, good or bad, true or false, and according to the teachings of the bible, we believe lies.  The apple may have tasted good but the result was not what the serpent alleged it to be.
As a species, mankind has been a work in progress, as it moved from family-clan-township-etc., into the number of cities towns and nations of today.  Over the course of centuries, groups have progressed from rule by physical power to rule by economic and weaponry control.  We have witnessed social control moving from belief systems through a multitude of cultural progressions.
Here we are today, warts and all.  The blame game is in full play throughout the world and particularly in our country.  We have allowed our society the freedom to be manipulated time and time again until truth is almost impossible to find as a complete package.  In almost every part of our society, there are faults that need correction.  Hopefully, those corrections will be made through reasonable, honest, and truthful fact-finding.  We are not born racist, hateful, separatists.  We have been taught those fallacies.  We are all part of the same family, human, dysfunctional as it may appear today.  Like it or not a majority of our dysfunction and animosity would disappear by basing our actions on the precepts of Judeo-Christian beliefs.  The Ten Commandments of the Jewish/Christian Bible and New Testament give us a great social structure.
If we love our neighbor as ourselves, racism would disappear. For example, the issue of “systemic racism” in our country has occupied our streets, our schools, our politics and our families.  Mistakenly looked at as one-sided, it exists in almost every race, color and creed throughout our species and in most parts of our planet.  It is a product of fear brought about as a lack of knowledge regarding other people's backgrounds and history.  That knowledge cannot be gained through the rewriting or erasure of the history we need to learn from.  We need to research history, the causes of such things as slavery.  It is a fact that our society condoned slavery. It is also a fact that we fought to eliminate the practice.  Hopefully, we will continue to progress, but it will not happen as long as we act and react from feelings rather than from fact.
As you thinketh… part of the solution or part of the problem… truthfully.  God Bless our country, our people our first responders.

A TIME FOR SHOUTING

Just a thought...... If the "Silent Majority" is aware of the term "spiritual warfare", and that the spiritual is often acted out in the physical world....
                                       WHY ARE WE STILL SILENT?
We stand quiet while the truth is being drowned out by the shouts of a few.
We are at a time in our national existence that the resolve of our people is being tested.  A time that will determine our future, once again as a country and as a society.  We have been here before in our history and it would be advised that we use history as guidance into our future.
The majority of people in my age group make up “the silent majority”.  We were taught by educators, parents, pastors to be silent if we couldn’t say something nice, we shouldn’t say anything at all.  That part of our social growth has allowed us to become imprisoned and surrounded by those who are enemies of our history; our success as a nation and as a light of freedom of thought, speech, religion in the world and that gives each of us the right to achieve our best.  Most of us, in the silent majority, are no longer silent because of how we were raised, but we are now silenced due to the fear of being ostracized by the new loud voice of “political correctness”.  Political correctness has infected every part of our society and seeped into the very heart of our educational system, our body politic and by those, we should be able to trust for accurate information, the news media.  Our freedom of speech has been destroyed in favor of what we should think like, speak like, and act like.  Sadly, we are giving up these freedoms without so much as a whimper.
We have been at war constantly after declaring victory at the end of WWII.  We have been at war with an ideology far more patient in its form of attack than we could have anticipated.  We called it a “Cold War”, but that really didn’t explain the underlying attack method that would be used against us.  We were warned, by the Communist party leader, that we would be defeated not by weapons but by words and beliefs.  The schism within our country during the Viet Nam war created an opening that would prove dangerous to our system of democracy, and capitalism.  Some members of the anti-war, pacifists turned to socialism as a kinder gentler type of society and political governance system.  As a modern-day “fifth column” infiltrated our system of higher education with a propaganda message.  The indoctrination of generations of our population has continued to erode our unity.  The new attack is now from not just the educators but from the media, the politic, and the entertainment industry.
The information media has moved from news to a more influential form of word manipulation mixed with large doses of innuendo to guide the beliefs of our people.  The entertainment industry has taken on the position as the educator of change in terms of what are considered to be norms with-in our society.  The political focus is no longer balanced in terms of what is best for our society and our country, but is now like a game of winning elections by any means that will serve that purpose.
Our country’s population has been actively and purposefully splintered into fragments and factions. Children have been taught disrespect, fear, and anger toward everyone who disagrees or is different than their own little wedge of society.  The effectiveness of divide and conquer tactics utilized by our enemies is now proven as we watch the streets of our great cities being over-run and victimized.  We are not born fearful of other humans, we are not born with a heart and mind of hatred.
Our enemies know that a house divided can not stand

FIRE, FIRE

FIRE, FIRE
Once again I almost lost my television.  Luckily I can’t throw my shoe hard enough to cause any real destruction.

This is unlike the real danger of hurling the wrong words at the wrong time.  Surely we have freedom of speech in our country, but it is not to be unrestrained.  Hollering “FIRE” in a crowded public venue just to get a reaction is deemed criminal.   So what about all the unrestrained hateful, spiteful and unchecked vocalizations that are being hurled into  our USA society today?
Years ago, far in the past times an old-timer can still remember, a very famous bear jumped in to try and stop fires that were occurring across our beautiful part of the North American Continent. No one knows how many tragedies were stopped by this icon “SMOKEY THE BEAR”.  The important thing is someone was smart enough to examine all the things that contributed to setting fires in the first place, then someone else working together with smart guy #1 found a way to present things that we as a society had to do in order to prevent forest fires.  They discovered by presenting their findings in a simple form all could understand, they could change behavior throughout our entire population for generations to come.

In our country we are experiencing the power of producing change.  Unfortunately, we have allowed factions within our borders to create a sub-society that strives to overthrow our way of life. While most of our conflicts have been waged from a position of strength and purpose, we have made some mistakes in our growth. Those errors have become the igniting elements that have thrown us into the heightened dangerous tinderbox of today’s American society.  We are a people whose population is divided as those who fought the Revolutionary and the Civil War.

We have come to the point of ridiculousness that requires the same out of the box solution as used to change minds for a good purpose. We need to come together as a people, but unless we defuse arguments and hatreds with facts that are true, rather than just beliefs, I’m not even sure that a “Smokey the Bear” or even a hero such as “Superman” can stop the suicide track our nation has set foot on.

Our three year olds have been on their own when it comes to finding out who and what their heritage is as a national society member, they have been given guidance , not by their parents, but by those who are handed these pliable minds to affect.  The results are in.

Do you like them?  I don’t.

Most recently we have seen advocates from all sides hurling their incivility and hatred into the tinderbox of our political social forest and it needs to stop.  As long as our people continue to rely on those propaganda messages that promote a lynch mob mentality and permissive approval, the danger increases.  Instead of looking for the why of any particular circumstance our national “truth purveyors” are more intent on who and what to blame and to make sure whatever is smoldering continues to escalate.  Rich powerful men are not all enemies.   There is fact and there is fiction.  There are lies and there is truth.  There is right and there is wrong.  No man is all good and no man is all bad.  As long as we allow folks to spout off regardless of how far they stretch credulity, how can you be sure what you are preaching and screaming about is valid?

To act on someone else’s belief system is foolish for an individual and is a storm in the making for social-political outcomes.  When we have politicians provoking people to physical confrontation; entertainers swearing and giving example of physical harm to our politicians; when we have a society that sees the effects of mental instability paired with social media and choose to convict a weapon instead of the provocation, it’s not only wrong, THAT’S TOTALLY IMMORAL!

We have to start judging pragmatically based on fact and with an honest appraisal of the full effects of what we think will get a real result that is good for our society and for the world.

There are two dogs in every human, one hateful and angry, one loving and helpful.  Be careful of which dog you are feeding and sustainin.
We have to start judging pragmatically based on fact and with an honest appraisal of the full effects of what we think will get a real result that is good for our society and for the world.

Pray for a world that respects God and country, and a world that works toward the betterment of the person next to him, and for those a world away.

The important thing is LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR.

And please Lord ……………send us a Smokey.

Like it or not... HE'S RIGHT

CHARLOTSESVILLE, VIRGINIA… 8/13/2017… Who are we supposed to blame?

In a city, known for being a great place to be an American citizen, a clash occurred at a “White Nationalist” demonstration.  Once again our duly elected President can say or do nothing right.

We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides - on many sides,” Trump said.

Ted Cruz on his twitter feed: It's tragic and heartbreaking to see hatred and racism once again mar our great Nation with bloodshed.”

President (past) Obama tweeted a quote from Nelson Mandela, “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion..."

In contrast to the facts, almost every report of this conflict  and Mr. Trumps reaction, no mention of the opposition of this demonstration is named, nor is the context of the Presidents condemnation of all those factions at play.

Some of the reality of this situation has been obscured in order to heighten the “anti-Trump”, anti-USA”, resistance movement talking point that Trump is a bad, bad, person.  The real causes involved in this sad part of our societies growth pain are basically what the President called out, bigotry and hatred.  Like it or not, Mr. Trump was right when he called those two sicknesses, hatred and bigotry, as being the basic causes behind  the rising fever of divisive conflict in our nation.

This demonstration was a objection to the removal of a segment of our history, a statue of Robert E Lee.  I am not a white nationalist but I disagree with the current pump up of political correctness.  The cheer leaders of this bastardization of our history include those groups which would pull our people into the mire of hatred.  The antifa group, a major part of the Resistance Movement, also arrived at this demonstration in a state of preparedness’ for conflict.  You will be hard pressed to find mention of this fact.  Once again, like it or not, President Trump was absolutely correct in saying many factions were at fault.

Hatred , bigotry, racism is being promoted by so many divisive components of our society and by those who would see our way of life, capitalism and democracy, fail and disintegrate.  Many say that the war in Afghanistan is our longest war, but that war has only been going on for a mere 15 to 16 years.  The propaganda war being waged on our country through propaganda, education and Medias has been conducted against us for some 60 years.  This “fifth column” is finally coming out into the open and its effect is catastrophic  and is evidenced by the almost complete division of our society since the Civil War.

Like it or not, our President is 100% correct when he calls for our people to abandon hatred, when he calls for us to unite behind the tenants of our system of life, the one based on the merging and acceptance of the color race and creed of our neighbor.  Like it or not, as individuals, we need to look in the mirror and see if we have been infected by our national sickness.

Pray for our country, our people, and our President.

Pray for healing of our Nation

Pray for the elimination of all forms of hatred and bigotry.

GOD BLESS THE USA

LIKE IT OR NOT

Like it or not facts are not always stronger than fiction.

In the last 75 years I have seen the art of twisting the truth into a weapon being used on our society by our own people.  We are at war, and we are not winning.  We have spent millions of dollars, lost blood and lives fighting wars in countries far distant from our shores.  We are facing threats of attack from North Korea.  The U.S. is experiencing cyber intrusion into our financial, economic and military systems from so many fronts that it’s difficult to keep them straight.  It seems there is some new confrontation occurring on a daily basis.  One might think those are our greatest dangers.  (Our war in the Middle East has been our longest war and one of our most ill-advised undertakings of our short history as a country.)

The fact is the most dangerous war we are in is the one we are having with ourselves, with our achievements and our own history.  The “fifth column” is alive, organized and active and it has spread like a cancer across our country.  We are like lambs being led by the “Judas Goat” to cutting our own throats.  That war has far surpassed any other in terms of span of time, cost to our nation and the absolute danger to our way of life.  The weapon and method used against us is using the pliable minds of our own children being contaminated through the propaganda being taught in colleges and universities we pay for.

The truth of the matter is this mental contagion is the product of our own making.  Years ago our parents began abdicating the responsibility of child rearing to the primary educational system.  Rather than instilling the ethics of honesty, hard work, compassion, and yes, the Ten Commandments, we allowed our way of life to be corrupted.   We have allowed our way of life to erode as the rock into sand.  The constant pounding of discontent and identity separateness has unraveled the strength of unity into the weakness of a single thread.  Through the power of communication media, our collective knowledge base is shown to be lacking.  Were you to stop twenty random people (under the age of thirty) you would find few that know anything about our country’s history, its political and economic systems and the positive results that have been contributed to our world as a whole.  You will find, however, that they are quite knowledgeable regarding the warts and moles marring the beauty of our nation.  We are at war, we have been at war, a war for the minds and hearts of our people, society and our country.   This war has been hidden for over 60 years and is now moving into public view.  We see it on our streets, on attacks on our law enforcement and first responders, and most recently against the President of the United States.

I keep returning to one of my favorite books, “As a Man Thinketh, the premise being that what a man thinks and believes is the real who and what he is.  The same holds true for a society.  Our current state of disarray is a result of what our collective minds have allowed our society to believe and be.  In our desire, as a Judeo-Christian based nation, to be considerate loving folks, we now find ourselves overly protective of every whim, of the individual, and to be the guiding factor for the rest of us to condone to the utmost.

An overzealous drive to be known as a nice person, a generous person, a charitable and caring person each of us in our own way has contributed to the separateness of all the different groups we have chosen to be included in.  The self-imposed definitions of good and bad are no longer used just to change our own actions but are now used as a defamatory judgement of our neighbors.  Contrary to popular belief, you are not always right and there are always unexpected results.  That is a fact in all reality and it’s true for you and most importantly for me in our society.

We are at War. Our enemy is what is being infused into the minds and hearts of our people.  The weapons of choice are: creating discontent through the use of the words “fair and unfair”, “acceptable and unacceptable”, “right and wrong”, etc.

The age old trick of deception is the use of slivers of truth and fact interspersed with falsehood in the intent to direct and mislead.  That is basically the art of propaganda. It has proven to be a highly effective tool, used for good and bad, in the fight to control societies, be it our own or that of the world in general.  When used against an enemy, it is generally used to create fear to weaken their intent.  Within our own society it is used to lead us in a direction of collective thought congruent with those who are leading us.
A question might be, “where are we being led”, and who is doing the leading, and why?
