A LONG, LONG TIME AGO

Once more I am being nudged by the relevancy of the oldest book.  The application of the story given to us in the first book of the Old Testament.  Most of us, in the persuasion of Judeo-Christian beliefs, regard the bible as the word of God the creator and as such has meaning for mankind.  As one of the believers I regard man as being more than just flesh and blood, that he was created by God in His image.  That image is one of mind, body and spirit.

The next part, of that belief in the Word, is that Satan was created before man and that being was the first example of what we now regard as hubris.  Satan tried to establish his own rule over creation and since that time warfare has been waged for the souls of man.  I do believe that, since the Garden of Eden times, the ownership of mans spiritual being has been the goal of Satan.  Satan gave birth to the act of manipulation, by using partial truths mixed with lies, to grasp mankind’s greed to separate mankind from the Creator.  That spiritual battle has continued throughout the millennium of our existence.

For those of you who consider the Bible to no more than a fairy-tale, remember that most fairy-tales exist to teach through a moral of the story.

In the beginning, according to the story, Satan tempted Eve with the possibility of the great things She and Adam would gain.  He told and that God wanted them to abstain from touching or eating the fruit just to prevent them from being powerful like God himself.   God gave them a law, Satan, through the power of lies and the greed for more in the heart of mankind, told Eve that she needn’t follow the law.  Unfortunately, the lie was believed and acted upon.  So here we are as a species known as mankind, no longer living in the original land of Eden, relying on our own struggles to regain what we had in The Garden of Eden.

I see a real parallel between that lie of Satan and what is happening in our country in a time so far removed from Eden. The tools used by Satan are just effective against our society and our way of life as they were way back then a long, long time ago.

Our people have been separated, and bunched into small tribes and cliques, by political promises of more and more empty gifts.  We are led to believe we would be in a better world if there were no laws being enforced; that all things should be free; that someone else has the upper hand and that we are being treated unfairly.  The lie is that we need a society in which everyone is taken care of and no one has or gets more than the next guy.  The purpose of those lies… to gain power much the same as Satan wishes to gain power over the spiritual souls of man.

This coming November, God willing, our society will be deciding on a course dictating our future, as such we should exercise prudence and seek wisdom.  We need to look for truth of the past promises, actions, and results in a pragmatic way.

Our country exists as a result of blood spent to give us the freedom of deciding our own futures, seeking our own fortunes and making our dreams reality.  We may not all achieve our highest but at least we have the freedom to grab at the golden ring.  I, for one, choose not to lose this Eden we call the USA by believing in the false promises of politicians vying for the power to control.  I choose not to relinquish the freedom to achieve or fail as many times as there exists an opportunity.  I choose not to believe in the use of the words or the miss-use of words filled with the half-truths and manipulative fear-mongering that is being used against our way of life.  The way of life that is in great jeopardy.

Just a thought…  What might Satan be whispering today?  How much truth and how much lie would be in that whisper?

Hatred between races; all whites hate all color; Sanctuary cities are good; Police are all bad; Abortion is a woman’s right; a fetus is not a child; minority races are held down by white privilege, the poor are being held back by the rich; and the list goes on and on.  You and I need to examine the effect of believing this stuff, we need to examine how much of the food we put into our minds is good and how much if it was manufactured to give someone else power.

Pray for our country, our people, our first responders and our President.

GOD BLESS THE USA

BULLY VIRTUE

How far we have come in the last fifty years or so.  I remember some seventy years ago that it was so important to be able to help your neighbor when he needed help.  I remember how important it was to treasure honesty, respect, hard work, your parents, your family as a whole.  I remember being taught in grade (elementary) school to respect your teachers, your country and your country’s flag, I remember being taught that it was wrong to steal, to damage someone else’s property.  I Think history is important not only to see what we need to improve on but also to see what things we blessed future with.

For the majority of our society’s members those things are still a predominate part of how we live our lives, how we make our choices.  Our silence as the majority, allowed the belief that those attributes no longer exist in our society.  According to some of those folks in the media has diminished those attributes.to an almost negligible percentage, According to our news and polls taken those values are no longer respected.

Rather than being ruled by the rule of law, we are we are watching a decline to a rule by mob, perceived moral justice, and a muzzle on thought.  We are no longer allowed to think outside the box of “political correctness” and “virtue signaling”.

Those screaming in the streets decry the acts of physical and psychological bully’s, in schools and social media, they condone showing off their superior virtue by bullying everyone they disagree with.   We now see many politicians openly prostrating themselves before the loudest, most violent, disruptors.  The art of protest has been infiltrated by those who profit on the discord they can create within our society.

The adage “United we stand, divided we fall” shouts out the truth that the obverse is just as loud.

CAUSE AND EFFECT

aR2 Cause, Effect         © Ron Burres
We are in the middle of a war for the hearts and minds of the American people:  a war for the physical health of population, a war on the basic freedoms and opportunities that benefited our society for the last 235 years.
We are seeing the effects of the sociological attacks on our basic ideologies by partisan politics and anti-American factions from within and outside of our country.  There are power-seekers who have promoted division within our population by creating tension between races, creeds, and politics.
History has shown our country to be, “One nation under God”, united in cause and effort during difficult times.  We were born as a nation in strife and have been on both sides of right and wrong.  In one respect, we have remained steadfast in our quest for a better society.
Our unity, during WWI and WWII and after the attacks on the NY World Trade Center, showed a cohesiveness we should seek to emulate outside of major conflicts.  Unfortunately, that is not a reality in today’s divisive political culture.  The prospect of working together to find solutions seems to have reached an uncrossable chasm.  We are trapped in the, seemingly unending political quest for power.  The professional politics, through ideological propaganda and persuasion, which bombards us show little respect for truth.  Rather than working together to achieve better results for our country, our body politic has devolved into a game of win or lose.  The struggle for control and power has become the objective far outweighing the honest effort for improving our societal condition.
The turmoil we witness in our country at this time is a result of the unfortunate death of a black citizen by the hands of a member of the police force.  We are led to believe that situation occurred as a result of “systemic anti-color” sentiment throughout our nation's law enforcement agencies.  This seems to me to be one of our nation’s media and political fauna to continue their attempts to people into groups of conflicting tribal mistrust and confrontation.
It is no accident that we are at each other's throats on so many different topics. How does it happen and how is it believed that “Black Lives Matter” is a correct sentiment when at the same time targets are on the backs of law enforcement personnel?  Wrongfully causing the death of any fellow human being is to be viewed as a criminal event regardless of race, color, or creed.  Like it or not, we all possess the same DNA base as one another.
Many of our citizens are watching their media screens in disbelief at the constant stream of anti-law enforcement events taking place across our nation.  This stems from the mistaken belief that our nation is a united tribe, that those we elect have our best interests at heart, and that we are a nation of laws.  It’s time that we “back up the bus” folks.  We are not “all of the above” and we, in our silence, have given an open doorway to those who would see our way of life and our freedoms melted away into history.
Why would we let this happen when so much of our nation’s treasure and blood has been spent to keep our experiment in freedom alive?  We are coming up on an important date in November and it’s time that we raise our voices not in violence but in OUR vote.  It’s time that we forget prejudice and ignore the divisive promptings of politics and new media and actually inspect our beliefs.  What will be truth and what part of fiction will we base our vote on?
Who will be paying for FREE?
Pray for prudence, knowledge and for right.  Pray for our nation and our leaders.  Pray for our first responders and for their safety as they face anarchy.

LOOKING AHEAD

FUTURE HEADLINE: Two Texas law enforcement offers escaped assassination when 911 dispatched social worker and anger management professional to handle a domestic dispute situation. Luckily no police personnel were harmed when the homeowner unleashed a barrage of gunshots as the social workers approached the door. Thankfully only the social worker and the anger management professional were killed in this engagement.
We are watching an interesting social experiment play out right on our TV screens our phones and our computers. We get to watch what happens when millions of people quietly seethe and do nothing to stop the madness. We get to see first hand how a few people with loud voices can frighten a much larger group into submission. We can watch as the few take over our municipal, state, and federal bureaucracies without one shot being fired. Whoops that last statement wasn’t quite accurate.
FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND RESULTS ARE IN
CHICAGO: 87 SHOOTINGS; 63 WOUNDED; 14 KILLED, included in those killed were an 7-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy.
NEW YORK: 39 PEOPLE SHOT; 3 DIED; PLUS 13 STABBINGS
ATLANTA: 24 SHOOTINGS; 4 DEATHS, one of which was another 8 yr old child
WASHINGTON D.C.: 6 SHOOTINGS; 3 DEATHS
PHILIDELPHIA: 17 SHOOTINGS; 2 MINORS DEAD

LOGICAL PROGRESSION

CURRENT CONDITION>UNDERLYING CAUSATION>CORRECTION:
A basic rule of the universe since the beginning is the rule of “cause and effect”.  There is always a reaction for every action that is enacted.  One of my favorite go-to books is As a Man Thinketh written by James Allen.  His book proposes that we are what we think, just another example of cause and effect.  If we take that a little bit further, our society is a result of a mass of thought.  It is up to each of us as individuals to understand what result our individual belief systems will contribute to society.
Our individual responsibility is to be the gatekeeper of what comes into our minds.  The process of “garbage in garbage out” pertains to our minds just as much as to computer programming, and there is plenty of garbage to go around.  We all have our favorite sources of thought food, often without even understanding the truth that went into our minds diet.  Mankind is basically a social animal and as such tends to have a herd mentality and as the old adage states, birds of a feather flock together and will follow the flock into any abyss.
Societies are bombarded from every side with propaganda from news media, politicians, product promotion and educators.  The effect on adults is monumental but even more horrendous is the effect on future members, our children.  Those future members of our society are sponges to what is being fed into their minds.  They are taught what to think, what to believe, how to act or react to those they come in contact with.  They are not equipped with veracity filters that would allow them to discard false knowledge.  They are primed and ready for indoctrination.
The crime of our society is that we are being programmed to distrust our neighbor and to deny them the right of discussion.  We no longer base our decisions on fact but instead, we look to our feelings, which most often are a result of propaganda and indoctrination, in lieu of the facts.  Honesty is a good thing.  It is based on our beliefs and it allows a true vision of what we believe to other folks of what we think is true.  The problem is determining the truth of what we think.  We should look at the resulting facts of what we believe to be true.  Is what we think reality or not?  In most cases, what we believe is just partially true and we need to sift out the garbage part of our beliefs if that is going to be our personal description. Mankind is flawed, we are susceptible to partial truth, we make mistakes, but we are seldom all one way.  We are a conglomerate of our experience, good or bad, true or false, and according to the teachings of the bible, we believe lies.  The apple may have tasted good but the result was not what the serpent alleged it to be.
As a species, mankind has been a work in progress, as it moved from family-clan-township-etc., into the number of cities towns and nations of today.  Over the course of centuries, groups have progressed from rule by physical power to rule by economic and weaponry control.  We have witnessed social control moving from belief systems through a multitude of cultural progressions.
Here we are today, warts and all.  The blame game is in full play throughout the world and particularly in our country.  We have allowed our society the freedom to be manipulated time and time again until truth is almost impossible to find as a complete package.  In almost every part of our society, there are faults that need correction.  Hopefully, those corrections will be made through reasonable, honest, and truthful fact-finding.  We are not born racist, hateful, separatists.  We have been taught those fallacies.  We are all part of the same family, human, dysfunctional as it may appear today.  Like it or not a majority of our dysfunction and animosity would disappear by basing our actions on the precepts of Judeo-Christian beliefs.  The Ten Commandments of the Jewish/Christian Bible and New Testament give us a great social structure.
If we love our neighbor as ourselves, racism would disappear. For example, the issue of “systemic racism” in our country has occupied our streets, our schools, our politics and our families.  Mistakenly looked at as one-sided, it exists in almost every race, color and creed throughout our species and in most parts of our planet.  It is a product of fear brought about as a lack of knowledge regarding other people's backgrounds and history.  That knowledge cannot be gained through the rewriting or erasure of the history we need to learn from.  We need to research history, the causes of such things as slavery.  It is a fact that our society condoned slavery. It is also a fact that we fought to eliminate the practice.  Hopefully, we will continue to progress, but it will not happen as long as we act and react from feelings rather than from fact.
As you thinketh… part of the solution or part of the problem… truthfully.  God Bless our country, our people our first responders.

HOW MANY TEARS

HOW MANY TEARS MUST BE SHED TO GIVE VOICE TO COMMON SENSE?

July 4, 2020 a date commemorating the 234th anniversary of our country’s birth.  The weekend of this date gives us so much to be proud of: anarchy in the streets of our major population centers; targets on the backs of our law enforcement; children being killed by the violence allowed by bureaucrats in control of cities; a news media being used as a propaganda weapon; our educational system that we have allowed to accentuate the less than proud moments of our country’s existence.

How many tears of mothers and fathers who must bury their loved ones because the actions of fear filled politicians who hear only the voices of those who condemn our country?

How many of our people did not weep over the deaths caused by this weekend’s crime violence, simply because it was not mentioned by their favorite source of information and news.

Why are we allowing the squeaky wheel to run rampant over the rule of law, the protection of our citizens, the theft of our future, and the children’s minds that will inherit from us, a broken society?  If it is to be rule by noise, for God’s sake people wake up and demand our cities return to the rule of law, and respect for those on the front lines who face the anarchists head on.

BLACK LIVES MATTER, BLUE LINES MATTER, NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS’ MATTER, OUR CHILDREN MATTER, OUR SCHOOLS MATTER, OUR COUNTRY MATTERS, OUR SOCIETY MATTERS

God bless the usa
Pray, pray, pray incessantly and for all things.

YOU GET

Just a thought...... We get what we let happen with our silence!
I consider myself to be one of the large silent majority that shows up when it’s time to vote but makes sure no-one can know what they really think.  We are now reaping the costs of our silence over the last six decades.  We have allowed our country to be infiltrated, allowed our educational system to deteriorate, have allowed our children to be indoctrinated, allowed our country’s internal history to be twisted and contorted.

The bible tells us “You reap what you sow” but if you don’t sow anything you will be overrun with weeds.  Our silence has led to the current state of anarchy and we have allowed our crop and our children to be transformed from the crop we wanted to field upon field of poison ivy.

It is sad that we have allowed our Judeo-Christian desires to be good stewards of our planet:  love our neighbors, take care of our poor and those in need, to be used to be twisted into the mess we experience today.  We have allowed good to extrapolate into a back door into our society that seeks to transform our nation into something that Marx and Lenin could only dream of.

In multiple quests for personal power and wealth our body politic has been changed from “for the good of country” into how do I get votes.  We have watched politicians buy votes with perks for every different faction our people can be splintered into.

These past few years we have allowed targets to be put on the entire law enforcement contingent and have labeled them with stigma of being racist.  We have placed racism at the top of the list for what our country represents and we have allowed this to happen in our silence.  We have allowed enemies of our society in our educational system to indoctrinate our children while eliminating education regarding the growth and transformation of our country from the time of Columbus and the pilgrims, through wars to gain our country’s freedom. Wars to keep our allies free, WWI and WWII.  We have seen one of our deadliest and costliest war fought on our soil to eliminate the practice of slavery ; a war that led to the assassination of President Lincoln.
These past few weeks we have watched and heard our news media report on the revolution of anarchy that is taking advantage of the moment.

The movement of “Black Lives Matter” as a legitimate message proponent has been infected by the weeds of anarchy.  The racist actions of a few personnel that led to the BLM movement, has cost the lives of many law enforcement individuals of all colors, races, and creeds.  Many of these men and women were assassinated simply because of their occupation as protectors of our neighborhoods.

The pathway to a better place as a country will not be attained through hatred, anger and distrust.  It will not be achieved through teaching our children to fear each other because of color or belief.  It will not be achieved with silence and inaction.  It will not be achieved as long as we allow our nation to be governed by power seekers who maintain their positions in government by false promise and verbal manipulation.

It will most definitely not be achieved through silence and the blind eye of indifference.

It is time for the “Silent Majority” to make their voice heard at the ballot box, make their voices heard throughout the media world, and to take back the education of our children.
GOD BLESS THOSE WHO SERVE OUR COUNTRY AND NOT THEMSELVES
