GUN CONTROL INANE THEATRICS

“Synonym Discussion of INANE:  insipidvapidflatjejunebanalinane mean devoid of qualities that make for spirit and character. insipid implies a lack of sufficient taste or savor to please or interest <an insipidromance with platitudes on every page>. vapid suggests a lack of liveliness, force or spirit <an exciting story given a vapidtreatment>. flat applies to things that have lost their sparkle or zest <although well-regarded in its day, the novel now seems flat>. jejune suggests a lack of rewarding or satisfying substance <a jejune and gassy speech>. banal stresses the complete absence of freshness, novelty, or immediacy <a banaltale of unrequited love>. inane implies a lack of any significant or convincing quality <an inane interpretation of the play>.”
There is just no better choice of words to describe what is taking place on the floor of the House of Congress than inane.  To watch a major bunch of elected representatives opt for the chance of approval through the use of theatrics is a major waste of our money and their time.  This all appears very important, very caring and morally superior until you understand it is all in the name of creating that perception.  Adhering to the progressive idiom “let no serious crisis ‘.  The Democrats staging a full press filibuster is one of the best examples of inane, and we’ve had many examples out of that bunch yet.
Insanity might be another appropriate description of their activity, “to repeat the same action over and over while expecting a different result”.  They are wasting our congressional time to vote on the same bill, one rejected by both sides of the Senate last week.  Both mom and dad, red and blue, said no to this so there is nothing left for these petulant little brats to do but lay on the floor kicking and screaming without sense.  That activity is not a legitimate or even serious attempt to halt the atrocities such as the Orlando massacre, but is an attempt to gain more power going into the November elections.  The members on the left side of the Congressional aisle know there is no validity to their theatrics, but they also know there is a vast portion of our population who will block out reason with the earplugs of emotion.

The Senate did not abdicate their responsibility in rejecting the four gun control bills presented, as none of the four would have prevented any of the torrents of killings that have taken place in our country over the last decade and a half.  We need to find a way to stop massacres, so instead of wasting our time, why not be constructive.  There is enough mutual sentiment within the walls of the governing bodies to make realistic gains in the protection of our people.  Kicking and screaming in support of nonsense is not an answer, it is an insult to the society at large.
Our rights under the second amendment need to be protected, as well as the right to not being unjustly accused of the crime of being on the no fly list.  Not that hard of a compromise to reach.

? GUNS ARE THE PROBLEM

“History is full of examples of leaders and politicians secure in their positions, deposed by anger and retribution in the pursuit of individual freedom.  Today is no different.  The struggle for population dominance is occurring on the stage of today.  History, when viewed logically, shows that although weaponry is important in these struggles, the actual struggle is most generally a result of dominance run amok.  The practice of limiting the population’s ability to horde and have weapons is an effective way of limiting the damages caused to those in the chair of political dominance.  Thus the confiscation of those weapons would quell any anti-government activity and makes the politic more secure and more powerful.”  Excerpted “GERMANY HERE WE COME” Arbee responds 2
The Second Amendment to the Constitution allows the citizens of our republic to own weapons, not for providing food but for providing our safety and the preservation of our freedoms.  An amendment designed specifically to provide all of us a means of protection against oppression by governments foreign and domestic.  The meaning of this amendment is quite simple, succinct and easily interpreted.
We have allowed the discussion to revolve around the devastating effects of guns being used to effect harm upon innocent individuals, specific groups  and children just to mention a few.  The havoc and body count left behind these occurrences have fueled one of the most contentious arguments of our time.  The feelings of sorrow and devastating effects of these shootings are felt by us all, liberal and conservative alike.  Unless we are mentally ill, we generally despise this type of violence.
Facts and logic have an ugly way of ruining another wise, lovely, intelligent and sensitive way of looking at these occurrences.  It’s simple to maintain the belief that the tool used is causal. That answer is way too simple in fact.  The fact is that before guns were even invented atrocities existed.  The discourse weapon of today’s discussion is misdirection.  The recent tragedy of Orlando has been quickly moved from the horror and emotional aftermath into the realm of political justification.  Not justification of the act but a justification of political position.  It is politically correct to call the tool used in these events as a portion of the why instead of merely the how.  Using this approach is a means of hiding the neglect of our politic in taking care of the underlying cause of each event.  How is important to the discussion, but why is where the discussion should be focused.  Even though the how, or tool, has been the same in many of these tragedies, the why has been a variable.  As long as we argue about the tool used, we neglect to correct any of the real factors that could prevent it from happening.  Political ideologies have long infected this discussion; pitting feelings and sensitivity against logic and in some cases fears.  This misdirection, used by both sides, hides too many failures of those we entrust with our safety.  We might think the politic wants the removal of guns as a power protective measure, after all an insurrection with rocks and sticks would be a relatively impotent adversary.  Good thing I don’t believe in such nonsense.
Facts of discussion are:  guns are just a tool, not the only tool; guns never pull the trigger by themselves; there are many more tools available to perform the same amount of devastation; ideology, mental illness, crime, anger, intoxication, all of these can be causal factors.  Guns cannot be causal.  In the case of deaths caused by drunk drivers I have never heard of or seen any reports of the car being the cause, or for that matter even the alcohol, neither of which end up being put in jail.  Facts are in any case the disaffected human being is the ultimate factor of similarity.
In terms of preventing these mass murders, both shooting and by other means, one other item seems to be threading its way into oblivion.  We have experienced a lack of communication between our law enforcement, a misleading of public sentiment to intentionally protect those in current positions of political power.  The dissemination of facts to our society has taken a miserable turn for the worse.  We have seen this proclivity for lies under the guise of political correctness take a firm grasp on our media and population.  We have an administration that refuses to bring fanatics adhering to a fundamentalist view of Islam as a part of the conversation because they believe we are too stupid to know that some never equals all.  This climate of spinning fact is getting quite tiresome and until we start reacting to the fact instead of the spin we all are in jeopardy.

Why are we unable to separate the how from the age old law of cause and effect?

GERMANY 1937, HERE WE COME

It seems ironic that under a President who promised his administration would be the most transparent in the history of our country, that transparency had a different meaning than we expected.  Unfortunately, he did not inform us that the history he referred to would be rewritten and that the facts of current events would be revised while taking place.  I am reasonably certain that most administrations have juggled the facts in order to make their mark appear positive in the view of future generations, but this is taking place now, in real time.
Yesterday, we once again witnessed a spokesperson for the “Justice” Department put forward the administration’s best foot forward in describing their transparency.  Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, stated in keeping with the policy of transparency, her department would release, to the public transcripts of the Orlando mass murderer’s 911 conversations.  What she said to one interviewer, most likely unintended, was that they would be deleting parts of the call referring to connections to Islamic terrorism.  What a great example of redefinition of current events.  The infectious disease of political correctness strikes again.  What is it going to take for our sheep-like population to understand that saying or not saying does not make you better, worse or smarter than the average member of society?  What it can do is make you a liar.
In the case of this President’s transparent administration, let the “facts” reflect that they were totally against, guns, intolerant conservatives and anything else that does not coddle their superior ideology.  They are right about one thing; they are smarter than the average member of our society, who does not take the time to be factually informed and who swallows the malarkey out of an ingrained ideology.  Transparency is fiction when viewed by eyes blindfolded by methodical indoctrination and revisionist reportage. I understand the use and importance of propaganda during the World War era and even into the Korean “conflict” and the Cold War.  It was used to create cohesiveness within our society that gave aid and comfort to our fighting men and women.  This gave full support to defeating the enemies that wished for our demise.  What a difference we are experiencing today.
Today’s propaganda, just as important to the current administration, was hinted at by our Attorney General: “What we’re not going to do is further proclaim this man’s pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups and further his propaganda,” Lynch told NBC. “We are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance [to the Islamic State].”
What is being scrubbed from the transcripts, in the name of political correctness, you might ask.  This is the before scrubbing version of what the, Mateen wrote in one post during the attack.:
“I pledge my alliance to (ISIS leader) abu bakr al Baghdadi..may Allah accept me,” “The real muslims will never accept the filthy ways of the west” …“You kill innocent women and children by doing us airstrikes.  Now taste the Islamic state vengeance.”
This hardly fits the narrative of the most transparent administration in the history of our republic.
The narrative would have us believe: the global war against terrorism was an overreach of semantical nature; radical Islamic terrorism is not an ideological conflict; America has caused the anger that causes the attacks upon our country.  We do not have stringent enough gun laws in existence to stop the massacres that are currently taking place in the name of a non-existent enemy who shall remain unnamed.  If guns were all confiscated we would all be safer; If you are against changing the traditional definition of marriage, you hate all of the LGBT community; If you are against abortion, you are misogynistic;  if you want to protect our borders, you are against undocumented  workers, you are an uncaring cold racist human being;  If you disagree with our current administration’s policies, it’s only because of our President’s skin color.  I could keep going but the more I see myself mentioning this tripe, the more upsetting it seems.  I can see now why they don’t want to listen to the facts, it’s just too upsetting.
There is no doubt that our current President views himself in a future context of history as the great savior and unifier of a worldwide society that feeds, clothes and maintains the health of all members.  No mention, of course, as to the economic monetary supply needed to provide this golden era of mankind.  We would all like to live in a world without any conflict, we would all like to know our homes, our food, our health, our education, our entire futures would be handed to us.  The sad fact and reality is that eventually supply diminishes, demand and shortages rises, anger increases and conflict is inevitable.  Those who feed on the needs of our populations are not the rich business men, (we are being taught to abhor), but are more apt to be the politician who sees position as power.  They are correct in that, it is fact.  What they are mistaken about is where they will eventually be in the food chain.  History is full of examples of leaders and politicians secure in their positions, deposed by anger and retribution in the pursuit of individual freedom. Thus the confiscation of those weapons would quell any anti-government activity and makes the politic more secure and more powerful.

If recollection serves me well, somewhere in this foggy old memory are tales of the Nazi government changing history, removing literature, confiscating weapons, and branding dissenters as non-patriots.

ONE NATION UNDER GOD

In my previous post I listed a website that involved spiritual prophecy.  Normally, I would not have given much credence to this, not because I don't believe in prophecy, but because I think a lot of so called prophecy is self-indulgent and designed to promote the individual.  I did start to listen to this show out of raw curiosity, but it made enough connection with my own belief structure that I ended up listening to the whole hour of the discussion.  (The link is posted on a previous post Food for Thought).

Starting with the basics of my own beliefs, I am:

I believe that mankind was created in our current form, and the blueprint used was the God who created us.

I believe as that type of being, the existence we are living in consists of body, mind and spirit.

I believe the Old Testament and scriptures exist; showing us the nature of God’s relationship with mankind.

I believe in the fall of Lucifer from God’s grace and the battle in the spiritual realm, defined as good versus evil.

I believe the spiritual part of our existence manifests itself throughout our material existence.

I believe the battle over the souls of mankind goes on in both realms.  I am in agreement with those who think the final battle of our world is inevitable. This battle is nearer than many would like to believe.

I believe discernment is required. We should not accept any postings of information as gospel.

The United States of America has truly been blessed far beyond any nation in the known history of mankind.  We have been a nation united by a commonality of the values of Judeo/Christian beliefs.  Our legal system originated out of the Ten Commandments and the freedom of choice by our Creator.

Recent surveys of our population have shown the majority of our people think our country is moving in the wrong direction in regards to the general operation of our country.  One survey I have not seen yet is the one that asks about how the Christians view the direction of the spiritual component of our country. More importantly, how do we think God would view the direction of our society’s spiritual walk on this planet?

In the last 75 years I have seen the insidious creep of devaluing the presence of God’s touch on the United States. The conflict is quite evident throughout the world. We can see the attacks made on our morality, our beliefs and on the things that have made our country one of the greatest has ever seen.  The attacks are on every front and are felt by all.  We have seen our country’s educational system dominated by misleading promotion of false history and ideologies.  We have seen the constant attacks on anything to do with the existence and reverence given to God.  We have watched as our entertainment and our news media have propagated a story line deigned to destroy the moral fabric of our society.  Most of all we have seen the acceptance of murder (remember “thou shalt not kill”), in the form of abortion.

I vote for a reversal of direction.
I vote for the United States of America

I vote for unity; I vote for truth; I vote for honesty; I vote for ONE NATION UNDER GOD

Today I listened to something on the internet that most often I would dismiss as not having any validity.  Since I often chastise others for not keeping an open mind when discussing politics, religion, or anything else involving passion, I forced myself to listen.  Thinking that I would be able to listen just long enough to verify the information as bunk.  What happened is that I had to listen to the full hour of discussion during a radio show.  While being somewhat skeptical what I was hearing got my mental wheels turning.  I invite you to listen to the show then read what came out of my mind.
