What an experience we are getting crammed down our collective throats. The media acting like carnival barkers directing us to the oddity they want us to view. Hyping and sensationalizing only the perverse of one show while ignoring the hideous facts of the other.
We, our society, who are supposed to be in charge of who we elect as our representative governance are no longer acting responsibly. We no longer look at the facts of what our country is in need of, or what’s best for the common good. We are, instead, in the process of electing a leader on information being fed to us by a self-serving ideological media.
This last week the media had two major impactful stories that should have an effect on our choice of leadership. One story regarded the (Possible) personal reprehensible actions of one of the candidates, the other showed in black and white the actions and words which actually affected our nation and its politic. One story made the one candidate look personally repugnant, the other story was virtually non-existant. The barker refused to shout out “Looky here” too.
In fact, the mainstream media reportage is pushing the Trump show at least 7:1 over the Hillary Wiki-leaks information. In the case of NBC, ABC the coverage or mention was an average of 9 minutes on Trump, 15 seconds on Hillary’s Wiki-Leaks information dump.
Now, I don’t know about you, but when it comes to choosing a leader for the free world, (our country, the USA), my priorities are focused on items that affect our nation, rather than on the indiscretions of a personal nature. Individual morality is not the question we need focus upon, even though the moral fiber of our society may be important to us all.
In a rush to appear “holier than thou”, the media minions have decided that to advance their cause, hypocrisy might serve their candidate well. Focusing the full thunderous sound of their attacks on the personal (undocumented) deeds of the Donald, while ignoring factual information showing the self-serving actions of the Hillary camp.
I will be among the first to condemn the actions of Mr. Trump if and when the allegations are proven to be factual. I will also point out that sexual misconduct has not been any kind of disqualifier for the office of President. While Presidents such as FDR, Kennedy, Johnson, Clinton have shown their sexual indiscretions, with Clinton being most obvious, how is it that we disallow Trump's viability. President Jimmy Carter even admitted to lusting in his mind, the difference with Trump is the lack of political correctness. We need to put all this into perspective, and we need to do it without hypocrisy. Men can be pigs and we all know that and most men if being honest to have lusted in their minds as well.
My concerns for our country are not what Mr. Trump thinks about women, about men and women, about fast cars, or any of that small ball diversionary shiny subjects the elite would like me to be focussing on. I don’t trust the Barker. There is not one of my concerns that Donald Trump has not addressed during this campaign period. He has proven himself in the economic/financial arena, in the rebuilding of infrastructure, and as one who completes his vision of what can be. His children, his family, his companies have shown his devotion to the standards of education, morality, and success. His success has shown his ability to see what needs to be done, then do it, a series of visionary objectives achieved.
I expect his abilities to match his objectives for our country.
Trump says he will make America Great Again, Hillary says she will implement more of where we are.
My daily political random thought:
It's like dreading a new medicine that looks like sludge, that smells really bad, and we're not sure of how it will taste.
Its history has shown despite all the drawbacks it has performed remarkably well in improving conditions.
The old medicine has not shown itself to be working. In fact, it has worsened the conditions that are harmful to the body. Even though abhorrible, the new medicine at least gives a chance of recovery.
Pray for our country Love your neighbor Pray for discretion
God Bless the USA
